Can I buy batteries directly from Amstron power Solutions?

Can Amstron manufacture a battery to my specifications?
Yes we can. Please click here and fill out the OEM Application form. This form is a PDF file. How do I know that my Amstron battery will work just the same as the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products?

Why isnt the battery accepting/holding a charge?
The charging unit that's inside the laptop may be defective. It also can be the battery, or the AC adapter may also be defective. back to top
Why is the milliamp rating different from my original battery?
At times the Amstron battery will be stronger (Higher milliamp rating), than the original, so you the consumer, will enjoy your battery longer without having to charge it as oftenly. back to top
Will the higher milliamp damage my laptop, camcorder, digital camera, or charger?
No. Although the milliamp may be higher the voltage will always remain the same. If you have received a battery that has a completely different voltage than your original battery, please contact the retailer you purchased the battery from immediately. back to top
How long will the laptop stay on just on the battery alone?
Average run time is 1 1/2 hours to 3 1/2 hours depending on what applications you are running. Of course if you are viewing a DVD, or recording music etc., the battery power will diminsh quicker. Also different notebooks use more power than others therefor that can also be a factor. back to top
What is the difference between NiCad, NiMH and Lithium Ion batteries?
Batteries in portable consumer devices such as a laptop, camcorder, cellular phone, etc., are typically made using either Nickel Cadmium (NiCad), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) or Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery cell chemistry. Each type of rechargeable battery chemistry has its own unique characteristics:
NiCad and NiMH:
The main difference between the two is that NiMH battery (the newer technology of the two) offers higher energy density than NiCads. In other words, the capacity of a NiMH is approximately twice the capacity of its NiCad counterpart. What this means for you is an increased run-time from the battery with no additional bulk or weight. NiMH also offers another major advantage: NiCad batteries tend to suffer from what is called the "memory effect". NiMH batteries are less prone to develop this problem and thus require less maintenance and conditioning. NiMH batteries are also environmentally friendlier than NiCad batteries since they do not contain heavy metals (which present serious landfill problems). Note: Not all devices can accept both NiCad or NiMH batteries.back to top
Lithium Ion:
Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) has become the new standard for portable power in consumer devices. Li-Ion batterys produce the same energy as NiMH battery but weighs approximately 20%-35% less. This can make a noticeable difference in devices such as cellular phones, camcorders or notebook computers where the battery makes up a significant portion of the total weight. Another reason Li-Ion batteries have become so popular is that they do not suffer from the "memory effect" at all. They are also environmentally friendly because they don't contain toxic materials such as Cadmium or Mercury. back to top
In the event I need to return the battery for a refund or a replacement, to whom do I need to return my battery to?
All returns are handled by the retailer you purchased the battery from. All products returned MUST be 100 percent complete, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the products, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation provided by Amstron power Solutions. back to top
